Happy Easter!
5:19 pm
Hello everybody, and happy Easter!
I hope you're all having a lovely day, however you choose to spend it - whether that's having egg hunts, Sunday roast, long walks in the countryside or cooking fajitas (like me!)
Although my family isn't extremely religious, I've always loved Easter. We used to go to church when I was younger and hear the Easter story being told, and there's something so wonderful about the idea of starting everything new like a second chance.
I normally have a mini egg hunt every Easter with my brother, but sadly he had to go back to university early this year as he's got a lot of important exams to revise for. Nevertheless, my mum still set out a little hunt for me and got me a few little gifts along the way as well!
We've had these cute little baskets for what seems like forever now which we always use to collect our little eggs in. Since there's usually both me and my brother, my mum would colour code our eggs so we didn't get them confused - mine are usually pink and my brother's are usually blue! So this year there were just a lot of little pink eggs which you can see here!
Aside from the pink eggs, my mum thought it appropriate to get me quite a large assortment of other little eggs as well, which she packed into this little Bobbi Brown bag. There's lots of different types of eggs which I love - after all, variety is the spice of life!

You may remember a while ago my mum sent me some bathroom products from Bath & Body Works, which I talked about in a post here. Well, since I loved the products in that range so much, she was kind enough to get me the candle that goes with the shower gel and body lotion! My mum and I absolutely love candles, but I've never actually had one of my own so I'm really excited about this one! It smells absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to start burning it in my room.
And finally... An Easter egg! This one is from Marks & Spencer and it's a 'Caramelised Walnut Swirl Egg' - very fancy! I love big Easter eggs as it's so much fun to break them up and eat them since all the pieces are different shapes, and they somehow seem to taste different as well if that's even possible!
We also used to have an 'Easter twig' in my old house, but when my parents moved abroad we obviously couldn't bring this giant twig with us, so now we decorate my mini Christmas tree with Easter decorations! You can see our little Easter tree in the second photo on this post.
As I said before, I hope you've all had a wonderful Easter this year! Now, I'm off to make some Easter cupcakes with my mum...
Sending lots of love to you and your families x

Sometimes I feel a little too old to do an Easter egg hunt, but I think stopping it would make me feel like too much of a grown up, haha! Thanks for stopping by Laura :) xx
DeleteAww, that's sweet! My mum used to hide easter eggs for me too, but my brothers were a lot older than me so it wasn't like a hunt or anything. I'd love to do a really egg hunt though!
ReplyDeleteWe don't do anything for Easter anymore.

Thanks for stopping by, Carina! I always loved the colourful paper, I think I would enjoy choosing little eggs as much as I enjoy eating them :) I actually haven't opened the big egg yet as I'm trying to cut down on unhealthy food, but I'm sure it'll be fab when I finally do crack it open! Xx
DeleteFINALLY a blog, that's about something other than make up or fashion, hahaha. You just made my day!
ReplyDeleteI'm not the biggest fan of easter, to be honest. I'm wasn't brought up christian, I don't like eggs and chocolate is not really my favourite either, but I do enjoy families getting together and having a lovely time. And easter decoration is one of my favourites, too. Than being said, I hope you had the most awesome time with your loved ones.
And I will for sure be a follower from now on. Your blog is refreshing ♥
Thank you so much Coba, for your wonderfully generous comment! I sometimes feel the pressure to blog about beauty and fashion as that's what seems to be most popular, but it just isn't me! I hope you had a wonderful Easter too, even if it isn't your favourite holiday :) thanks for following xx
DeleteI'm glad you have the courage to stay true to yourself ♥
DeleteI've had way too much chocolate I just love the stuff! But looking at your pictures has made me crave some more so now I'm gonna go and finish off my Easter eggs haha! http://coffeeatmidnight13.blogspot.co.uk/ :)
ReplyDeleteOh Bryony, I feel you! I'm trying to cut back a bit since I gained some weight at uni from all the pizzas I've been eating, but it's just so tempting when there's leftover Easter chocolate lying around the house! Thanks for stopping by - I feel like we would get on well judging by the Taylor Swift references in your URL! xx
