Hey there! My name's Laurel, I'm 24 years old and I graduated from the University of Exeter with a BA in English & Drama in July 2017.
Instead of a rambly paragraph, I've decided I'll give you a few fun facts about me to introduce myself:
- I have lived in four different cities and on two different continents. I was born in Guernsey, Channel Islands, where I lived until I was 16, when my parents thought it'd be a pretty fun idea to move to Dubai, UAE. I spent my sixth form years there, before moving back to the UK to attend university in Exeter. After graduating, I moved to London to start my first job.
- I'm a pretty busy person and don't get as much free time to blog as I'd like, so apologies on that front. At uni, when I wasn't in the library or the drama studio, you could find me editing the lifestyle section of the university newspaper Exeposé. Nowadays, I tend to spend the time I'm not at work exploring as much of London as I possibly can (of which there is a lot).
- I love films, and have conveniently always lived less than a 10 minute walk away from the nearest cinema. My favourites are Spotlight, Whiplash, School of Rock, Ocean's 11... Oh, and Harry Potter (yes, all eight of them. But Order of the Phoenix is my favourite).
- I'm vegetarian, but try to eat vegan as much as possible. I love cooking, though I never had much time to try new recipes at uni (I usually resorted to either pesto pasta or avocado toast, 98% of the time), so I'm really looking forward to trying out some new recipes now I have my own kitchen.
