Now that summer's officially on its way and the days are getting hotter, I thought this would be the perfect time to show you guys how I make my own healthy ice lollies in the summer months!
First of all, you're gonna need to choose what kind of fruit you want to put in your lollies. I chose to make mine berry flavoured, but you could pretty much do anything you like! Mango, banana, apple, nectarine... Whatever takes your fancy!
Chop up your fruit a little bit and put it into a blender so that you can make a smooth liquid from the fruit. If you feel like it, you can also add some fruit juice into the mix to make it less thick. Next, pour the mixture into individual lolly moulds - I got these from Ikea for about £5, but you can probably find them anywhere around this time of year, or on Amazon if you don't have any suitable shops near you.
Once you've poured the mixture in (be careful as it's easy for them to overflow - you can see that my moulds are a bit messy!), don't forget to add the plastic lolly stick on top, then just whack the moulds in the freezer overnight and in the morning they should be good to go!
Top tip: It can be quite difficult to pull the lolly out of the mould, so the best thing to do if you're having trouble is to run the mould under the hot water tap for about 30 seconds to make it easier.
And, the final step, enjoy your ice lolly!
Let me know if you decide to try this out for yourself, or if you've made any of your own ice lollies before and how they turned out in the comments below!
