Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe

9:02 pm

I don't know about you guys, but I am probably one of the biggest sweet lovers in the whole entire WORLD! I love all kinds of sweets or desserts, there's just so much variety and they all taste so good! You can imagine my excitement when I stumbled across this gorgeous little beauty in town the other day - Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe!

The sweet shop has all manner of wonderful types of sweets, pretty much everything you can think of! You can buy jars of sweets, or packets, or you can choose a variety of your own, and then they have really cool options of packets with just pink or yellow or blue sweets, or just chewy or fizzy or chocolatey sweets - sweets of all different colours, textures and flavours! I love how it's set out like an old fashioned sweet shop too, as it makes me think of my mum and the stories she used to tell about picking out their sweets for a penny when she and her brothers were younger. The shop also plays such awesome music - last time we were in there they had the ABBA soundtrack on!

I opted for a classic packet with all different kinds of sweets mixed together as I really can't choose between sweets - I just love them all way too much! The shop is really affordable though and I got this packet of sweets shown below for just £2, which I think is great considering the extortionate prices you have to pay for pic 'n' mix at the cinema! They also have a stamp card that you can use if you like, so if you spend £1.50 in the shop nine times then on your tenth time you'll get a 15% discount! It's not a huge amount of money off, but as a student I'm happy to take any kind of discount I can get!

If you're a sweet lover like me and think that this shop looks like some kind of paradise (don't worry, you're not alone), check out your local town and see if they have a shop as it's a chain of shops all over England! Unfortunately, it's mainly just an English chain, although they do also have stores in Singapore and Hong Kong. If you can't find the shop where you live, check out their website which will let you order their sweets online!

Hope you enjoyed this post - comment below and let me know your favourite kinds of sweets!

  3. Oh that looks so, so good, I should not have read this before my breakfast!! I love that you can get bags of sweets in one particular colour too, I always seem to dive in to the red and purple sweets in any selection first and am disappointed when I've eaten them all and have to move on!! xx
